History
The area is named for the Nolina parryi (Parry's Nolina) found in the canyon, which is famous for its large, blooming stalks, particularly noted in spring. It serves as a scenic, narrow canyon route located in the Pinyon Mountains area. The area is close to the dramatic sandstone formations of the Borrego Badlands and near historical mining activity in the neighboring Mine Wash area.
