Trail Overview
This is an incredibly scenic trail that takes you high above the town of Mammoth Lakes. The trail starts near the New Shady Rest campground and soon climbs in elevation. The trail starts off as an improved dirt road, and It quickly climbs in elevation with multiple switchbacks you wind your way through the tall pines. Be on the lookout for wildlife and wildflowers if the season is right. Once you reach the top of the hill you will have some spectacular photo opportunities as you overlook the ski slopes of the Eastern Sierra mountains and the town below.
