Trail Overview
This nice loop travels up a hill with many stunning views of the Eastern Sierras and valleys below. The trail is sandy dirt, which kicks up a lot of dust. The loop can be traveled in either direction. If you start on the east side, you will start up the steep but short hill. There are various deep-rutted humps. Many people get stuck in this section. A high-clearance vehicle is highly recommended but not required. Be cautious going up on the right side of the track; if you lose traction, you could side off the trail. You will encounter off-camber sections, ruts, and soft dirt sections that feel like sand.
