Trail Overview
Accessed from Big Spring Road West, this lesser-known offshoot delivers a peaceful backcountry ride through sagebrush meadows and an Aspen forest that truly comes alive in the fall. The trail is one vehicle wide and winds gently through vibrant vegetation, gradually climbing over 300 feet from south to north. Compared to Big Springs West, this is a smoother and less rocky option, but still delivers just enough terrain variation to keep things interesting. Drivers will encounter a very small rock garden roughly half a mile from the southern entrance, along with a short log crossing requiring one wheel up and over. The narrowing trail beneath the canopy adds a touch of seclusion and beauty.

Difficulty
This trail offers a light technical challenge with just a few areas that require attention. The narrow width may be tricky for wider vehicles, especially through the forested sections. The minor rock garden and small log crossing are manageable for most high-clearance vehicles, and 4WD is helpful but not essential in dry conditions. While it lacks steep grades or large obstacles, careful driving and good tires are still recommended to handle the uneven and occasionally rocky terrain safely.
