Kamook (FS 6S041) is the breezy, open-air sibling in the Miami Mountain family. Serving as the primary east-west artery through the Miami Mountain OHV system, this 1.5-lane gravel forest road is designed for speed and flow. Unlike the jagged spurs that twist off into the brush, Kamook offers a predictable, well-graded surface that lets you carry momentum and enjoy the rhythm of the drive. The trail cuts through a mix of dense timber and open burn recovery areas, providing excellent visibility and plenty of room to pass oncoming riders. It passes directly through the main Miami Creek / Kamook Staging Area, making it the central hub for anyone unloading dirt bikes or ATVs. Whether you're using it to access the technical trails or just out for a dusty sunset cruise, Kamook is a stress-free connector that gets you there with a smile.

Difficulty

Kamook is a textbook Rating 1 trail. The surface is wide, consistent, and well-maintained, consisting mostly of smooth dirt and gravel. While you might encounter a few minor ruts or washboards after a rainstorm, there are no obstacles--no rocks, ledges, or deep mud--that would challenge even a standard passenger car. It is essentially an unpaved country road that serves as the backbone for the more difficult trails in the network. If you can drive a Subaru, you can drive Kamook.
