Trail Overview

This two-track route is a connector between Graveyard (FS 5S008) and Jackass Creek (FS 5S002). The trail runs entirely through the severe 2020 Creek Fire burn scar, which means lots of downed trees, loose dirt, and exposure. Despite the name, it's an easy dirt trail with enough rocky tread and "hunter braids" (detours) to make you use your clearance. The road is a clear two-track width, mostly composed of smooth, reddish-brown dirt. There are lots of cleared deadfall and debris on the sides, with rapid undergrowth choking the trail in areas.

Difficulty

The difficulty is due to the rocky tread and loose surface over the short distance. High clearance is recommended for comfort and safety, but no technical 4WD is required.
