Trail Overview
This 5-mile out-and-back trail climbs about 200 feet over 2.5 miles through a dense pine forest. The hard-packed dirt surface makes for an easy and scenic drive, and the route is generally wide enough for 1.5 to 2 vehicles. It's an active logging trail, so stay alert for equipment or other traffic. In the fall, the area becomes popular with deer hunters. Portions of the trail follow gentle shelf roads that open up to views of the surrounding mountains and hills across the valley. The quiet forest setting and easy terrain make it a pleasant, relaxing route for a short drive.
