Trail Overview

This trail starts at Palo Verde Wash and ends on Highway 22, cutting through a wash that is full of varying types of desert brush, creating a vegetated corridor. The surface is fine sand with some varying sizes of rocks throughout, making the trail quite bumpy as you navigate the mixed terrain. You'll encounter a few off-camber sections scattered along the way that demand careful attention. There are various spur trails that'll get you to the same spot along the way, giving you alternate routing options through the wash system if you want to explore different paths or avoid certain sections.

Difficulty

The fine sand requires four wheel drive, and airing down is recommended for maintaining traction. The varying sizes of rocks combined with the bumpy nature create a jarring ride that will test your suspension. The off-camber sections require careful navigation and line choice. The wash environment means flash flood awareness is important. High clearance is beneficial for the rocky, uneven terrain.
