Trail Overview
The trail starts on the south side of the abandoned railroad tracks. It follows Interstate 8 for approximately three miles before it veers off. The trail is wide with soft, loose sand and minimal rocks. It is suitable for stock 4x4 vehicles. All vehicles entering the Anza Borrego wilderness must be plated and street-legal. Please follow signage and stay out of restricted wilderness areas.
