Trail Overview
This sandy cutoff winds up and down small hills at the foothills of the Scodie Mountains, packed full of whoops, off-camber sections, holes, and ruts plunging up to 18 inches deep, creating relentless technical challenges. The trail is lined with desert flora dominated by big sagebrush, with occasional Joshua trees, teddy bear cacti, and seasonal blooming wildflowers adding variety. Deep sand appears throughout, requiring constant momentum management. Four wheel drive and high clearance shift from suggestion to highly recommended necessity, with airing down also highly recommended for the demanding conditions.

Difficulty
The combination of whoops, off-camber sections, holes, and ruts up to 18 inches deep creates extremely challenging terrain that tests both vehicle and driver throughout. Those 18-inch deep ruts demand high clearance and precise line selection to avoid high centering. Deep sand sections require excellent traction and momentum management. Off-camber areas combined with ruts create worst-case scenarios. The winding hills add elevation changes without respite. This earns its 4 rating legitimately, suitable only for capable vehicles with experienced drivers. Airing down isn't optional here.
