Trail Overview
Butler Peak is a beautiful trail that can be completed in about 1 hour and is a minimal difficulty trail. The trail itself is a well-traveled dirt trail that winds its way up the mountain to a fire watchtower. The trail can get narrow in spots, but most places along the way will have places to pass other vehicles. Enjoy stunning views of the San Bernadino Forest and Big Bear Lake, and climb up in one of the three remaining fire Lookouts in southern California. The Volunteers in the lookout are kind and more than willing to show people what they do. There is a small dirt parking lot at the top of the trail.
