Trail Overview

This trail starts just off Highway 86, with the beginning surface being gravel that quickly turns to dirt as you progress. The route follows underneath the power lines, providing easy reference for navigation. You'll encounter some whoops and ruts scattered throughout. The trail goes in and out of countless small washes, creating constant vertical challenges as you navigate. A couple of the washes have really steep, longer ramps that may have issues with long wheelbase vehicles hitting their approach or departure angles. There are some off-camber sections with ruts, combining two challenging features. The trail runs parallel to the highway in general, keeping civilization within reach. This is a slow-moving trail with very little vegetation across the barren landscape. This trail serves as a feeder to other BLM trails to explore, making it an important connector route.
