Trail Overview
This trail now starts officially south of the new private property lines and crosses a sandy, open desert that is relatively flat. The landscape is barren for the first mile, then some desert bushes start popping up, and the trail becomes one vehicle wide as vegetation increases. You'll encounter some ruts, washboards, and whoops scattered throughout. There are a few washes you have to go in and out of, and some are very deep and may be a challenge for some vehicles. Some ruts are up to 18 inches deep, creating serious vertical obstacles. At mile 2.5 and 3.0, the trail drops into a very deep wash and climbs out the other side, presenting significant technical challenges at these crossings.

Difficulty
This is a challenging trail with the very deep washes being major obstacles that may stop some vehicles. Some ruts up to 18 inches deep are serious challenges requiring high clearance and skilled line choice. The very deep wash crossings at miles 2.5 and 3.0 require careful approach angles, momentum, and possibly spotting. Four wheel drive and high clearance are essential. The narrowing trail with vegetation adds navigation considerations. This trail demands capable vehicles and experienced drivers.
