Trail Overview

Starting in Highland, 1n16 is a fairly easy dirt road with some parts rutted out, but any 4x4 can make it through the trail easily. Many parts of the trail are single-vehicle wide, but there are plenty of places to pass along the way. Coming from Highland, the trail ends on 1n16, giving you the choice to exit towards Highway 330 or the longer part of the trail to Seven Oaks and the 38 with more trails connecting up to Big Bear. This trail gives you great views over the Inland Empire and a consistent climb into the San Bernardino mountains for the start of a quick trip up the mountain, or a long day on the trails enjoying the area.

thought it was a simple trail but if it’s raining/snowing there’s a difficult part and the end where you will require a 4x4 and maybe lockers. huge rut maybe 18-24 inches. lots of mud on this section. good luck!
