Adobe Ranch Road (FS 1N17) is a wide and easy route that serves as the main eastern access to Crooked Meadow East. The trail follows the gentle contours of Adobe Canyon, offering open views across sage flats framed by pine-covered hills. It's a peaceful drive through classic Eastern Sierra country, with vistas of Mount Biederman, Bodie Mountain, and the distant White Mountains adding to the scenery. Sand and gravel surface, generally firm but dusty when dry. Road width averages two and a half vehicles wide with occasional washboard sections.
