Trail Overview

This short and easy ATV trail starts out on a narrow path between the manzanita shrubs on a rocky hilltop covered in small loose rocks, then starts descending through the forest on a smooth dirt path. A lot of logs have been cut, making this route easily navigable and passable for the less experienced rider. There's a lot of debris from fallen trees though. It's pretty tight between the shrubs in spots, with branches sticking out into the trail. There are a few tight curves, but it remains pretty easy and is a just a quick connector trail. After half a mile and losing 180 feet of elevation, it pops out of the trees onto FS 3N83.

Access Description

This trail system is easily accessible from the Hull Creek Campground, a paid forest service campground off of FS Road 3N01, south of Long Barn, California. There are lots of other dispersed campsites throughout the forest roads that can be used for staging, but know that OHVs are not allowed on the paved FS 3N01. The trails are open from April 15 to December 15, and it gets really hot and dusty here in the summer, so the best time to visit is spring and fall.
