Trail Overview
This is the only ATV trail near the Deer Creek Staging Area, and is probably mostly used by dirt bikes to access the trail system. It's a short trail, only 1.4 miles long, and it mostly climbs up from Italian Bar Road to FS 4N16 on a semi-steep path with sections of loose rock. It's pretty narrow between the bushes in spots as well. It accesses 3 small single tracks throughout the route, and takes you to another forest road to start accessing more of the trail system. The bottom of the climb is pretty smooth and easy. The top of the route has some more sun-exposed areas with sharp loose rock, ruts, and small embedded rock ledges and goes through scraggly scrub oak. This trail is seasonally closed 12/16 - 4/14 to motorized use.

Difficulty
This is a more moderate trail for ATVs due to some rutted loose sections and small rock ledges. It's a bit easier for dirt bikes that can pick their line better through the rocks. This is rated Moderate by the Forest Service.
