Trail Overview

This short dirt bike trail weaves between a tight corridor of oaks and shrubs, with towering pine trees. It meanders along the hillside through the tight bushes, often overgrown and whacking you in the face and blocking visibility. Several downed logs have been cut, keeping the trail clear, but there is always potential for new log hazards here. It skirts around a lot of logs that are still extending out into the trail. Despite the overgrown vegetation, the trail itself stays very easy, with few rock or ruts, staying mostly smooth. However, the south end has more loose rock in the trail as it connects with the ATV trail 15EV73.

Access Description

The Interface OHV Trail System is located in the Stanislaus National Forest near the town of Arnold, California. To get here, go north of Highway 4 towards the community of White Pines and White Pines Lake. Go past the White Pines day use area, and continue onto FS 7N08, which will take you directly to the staging area. This recreation area has ample parking, porta potties, and several primitive camp spots with picnic tables. There are more camp spots and staging areas along FS 5N52. The trails here are open from April 15 - December 15, but it gets very dry and dusty here in the summer, so spring and fall are the best times to visit.
