Trail Overview

This is a wide and easy ATV trail that cuts through the middle of the Interface OHV trail system, acting as an easy access route to access several other trails. It has minor loose rock and shallow ruts, but mostly is smooth dirt. It's lined with bear clover, and goes through a sparse forest of towering Jeffrey pine trees. It descends steadily from west to east, going through several previously cut logs. It accesses several other trails in the system, including 15EV71, 15EV70, 15EV69, and 15EV73. The terrain stays similar throughout the 1.7 mile long route, remaining wide and easy the whole way. It has some sweeping banked corners that are fun, and long straight sections with good visibility. There were a couple logs hanging high above the trail to watch out for as well.

Access Description

The Interface OHV Trail System is located in the Stanislaus National Forest near the town of Arnold, California. To get here, go north of Highway 4 towards the community of White Pines and White Pines Lake. Go past the White Pines day use area, and continue onto FS 7N08, which will take you directly to the staging area. This recreation area has ample parking, porta potties, and several primitive camp spots with picnic tables. There are more camp spots and staging areas along FS 5N52. The trails here are open from April 15 - December 15, but it gets very dry and dusty here in the summer, so spring and fall are the best times to visit.
