Trail Overview
Shoal Creek Road is an easy, well-maintained gravel route that follows Shoal Creek and provides access to dispersed camping and nearby trail systems. It's a great entry-level drive with scenic creek crossings and access to more adventurous trails at the far end. Maintained gravel road getting to Shoal Creek, it features a low water bridge crossing, which can vary with water levels, and has multiple dispersed camping spots located along the route. The road ends near a trail turnoff that leads to a more technical off-road route and is popular with SXS traffic, especially during weekends and peak seasons. The surface is smooth gravel with occasional washboarding, though the low water bridge may become an obstacle when water is high. Dust can be an issue during dry periods due to traffic, but the road is wide enough for most vehicles with easy passing areas.
