Trail Overview
L8 is a short but steep 3-Diamond trail located on the 400-Side of Hot Springs Off-Road Park. Though only 0.1 miles long, it drops nearly 91 feet in elevation, making it a challenging descent--or climb--for drivers navigating the area. The surface is made up of very small, loose rock, which can become slippery, especially in wet or dusty conditions. L8 is a two-way trail, but due to its steep grade and loose footing, ATVs are not recommended. This is one of those short connectors that demands attention despite its length. It's ideal for experienced drivers who are confident handling steep, unstable terrain. A Park Day-Use Trail Pass is required to access this system of trails. Cell service is spotty in places, and trail conditions can change quickly--especially after rain or during the winter.
