Trail Overview
The Huckleberry Mountain Orange Trail is a fun, water-filled off-road route featuring multiple crossings of Big Shoal Creek, rocky terrain, and scenic stops, making it a great option for those who enjoy a mix of technical driving and relaxing creekside breaks. Along the trail, you'll encounter multiple creek crossings, including one that can be fairly deep depending on water levels, while the first crossing offers a great photo opportunity for your rig or a place to stop and relax. The route also includes large rocks, downhill rock garden sections that require careful control, and a small hill climb that adds both variety and challenge. It can be run in either direction, each providing a different experience, with consistently rocky terrain made up of large loose rocks, multiple water crossings with depths that vary based on conditions, and slick surfaces when wet, especially on the rocks.
