Trail Overview
Spring Lake Road Access is a maintained gravel route frequently traveled by visitors heading to the lake, resulting in noticeable corrugations and potholes that make moderate driving speeds advisable. The trail eventually leads to a campground open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Alongside the lake, travelers may find opportunities for fishing and potentially overnight camping, subject to permission. As the road continues toward Mount Magazine State Park, the gravel transitions into a paved surface. Please note that you cannot access the campground from the southern side of this road. There are a few dispersed campsites along the route, though no amenities such as trash disposal or water are provided, and cell reception remains limited.
