Trail Overview

Scenic drive with tall trees that follow along Murray Creek in spots. It starts as a maintained, easy, gravel and dirt road but soon turns into a rocky, primarily one-vehicle trail with several places to carefully navigate. There are uneven rock ledges up to ten inches. After the rain, there are a few muddy pools of water with semi-rocky bottoms and alternate routes to avoid them, such as areas to pull over next to the creek to hop out and explore. The bluffs along the creek and the little waterfalls the rocks in the water create are picture-worthy. Cell service is very spotty. This eventually leads to a large campsite across the creek using FS 1409.
