Trail Overview

This is a great short and quick trail, or gateway trail, through desert terrain that gets you from the Twin Buttes to Hwy 74. This trail is north of the Vistancia area, which can lead you to the Lake Pleasant area. Many great offset trails off of this one that can be explored as well. There is no staging area for trailers.

Difficulty

Easy trail with some steeper inclinations and deeper rocks in some places. Higher clearance is recommended.

Once you get to highway 74, it’s chained off so you will have to turn back the way you came or go off on your own. I was using a stock 24’ big bend bronco and it did everything smoothly. I would say there were about 3 parts where it’s a bit rough but that’s about it. AWSOME TRAIL

Lots of pre-development going on along some parts of the trail, so I'm sure at some point in the future this area will be closed to off roading.

Access Description

Trail is north of Vistancia area. While driving North on El Mirage rd at the 1st roand-about you are able to drive around the mound and cross over the canal.
