Trail Overview

Ss1060 is a narrow gravel out-and-back trail lined with creosote, tall cholla, and plenty of livestock. The first thing you see is BLM signs blocking what looks like the 4x4 play area; the trail starts left of that area. This area is a great staging and parking spot. The actual trail starts easy, then quickly narrows and winds through the hills. No obstacles, nothing technical. However, at the wash, turn left, go straight ahead, but you will see the trail is washed out below the tank wall. You cannot cross this wash as there are concrete K rails in the wash. We found a bypass to the right that leads you to the other side of the tankon the back side, but there is no way to get to the other side of the tank wall to complete the trail. Nature has taken the remainder of the trail back. Watch for the Livestock that rest all around this trail. Lots of Cow traffic.
