Trail Overview
Ss1034 runs mostly dirt with pockets of gravel as it tracks along the powerlines through the desert. Recent maintenance and grading have left the surface soft in places. Do not attempt this trail in wet conditions -- the mud here will get nasty fast. Dirt berms sit along both sides of the road. The route dips into a wash and climbs back out with great views of the surrounding mountains, spring wildflowers, and San Jose, Arizona, in the distance. You'll encounter a green gate at the top -- leave it closed -- before the trail drops back into the low desert and ends at Zss1473.
