Trail Overview

Sa1010 begins at the intersection with Sa1015 on the north side and is a mostly natural, rocky trail with large river rocks and abundant desert vegetation, including creosote and cactus. The trail features several challenging sections, including a steep hill that requires a bypass via Zsa1292, a large rock garden wash with two technical "waterfall-style" climbs, and multiple washed-out low-water crossings. High clearance 4WD is recommended, and caution is needed for flash flood risk and areas where the road may disappear. Following bypasses and staying alert are essential for safely navigating this rugged, technical route. The road on this trail falls off into a major washout. Must use the bypass to get around it. Dangerous washout Beware and watch speed at the north 1/4 of this trail near Zsa1292 use this bypass for the work around on this trail road is gone and falls straight into a deep wash.
