Trail Overview
Pine Creek is a fun trail in the Prescott National Forest through a mix of desert and pine trees paralleling a rocky dry wash. It's a rocky trail with lots of boulders embedded in the trail and loose rock. It crosses the wash several times too, which is full of chunky river rock and huge slabs of stone. It's easy to follow the trail as it is well-trafficked. Sometimes it's a bit elevated above the dry creek bed 10 feet or so on a narrow section of trail, so it has a small drop off to the side. There is one large rock ledge obstacle on one of these narrow spots. The obstacle is a drop-off that most riders will probably walk their bike down. It would be significantly harder to get back up that obstacle because it is a sheer face next to a drop-off. It's not too hard to drop your bike down it though, especially with help from a buddy. There's another rock face obstacle in the middle of the trail that has an easier way around it, but the easy way is also tricky because it skirts very close to the edge of the trail and it's hard to make the turn. This trail appears to end at a fence for private property after about 2.6 miles when heading north and turns west to continue as the Dolphin Trail (85).

Difficulty
This is an intermediate trail with embedded boulders and shelfy sections and has a larger, more advanced rock ledge obstacle that would be a 7 difficulty to get up if riding north to south.
