Trail Overview
Pauline Ridge begins with a steep, winding, and off-camber entrance, making four-wheel drive preferable for a safe and controlled ascent. Once past this initial climb, the trail levels out and follows a ranch fence along the ridge, offering expansive views of the surrounding landscape. Despite the rewarding scenery, the route is extremely rocky and bumpy, requiring a slow and careful pace and, therefore, not a particularly rewarding route unless you are testing your suspension and patience. While there are a few ascents and descents along the way, none are particularly technical or challenging. The trail passes several troughs with water and culminates at a large water tank at the end of the route. No dispersed campsites are available along the way and there are no amenities such as trash disposal or potable water, and cell service is limited.
