A primarily sand road in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. During the dry months, this road has deep sand that can strand vehicles. A 4x4 and the ability to air down/up is required. The Vermillion Cliffs National Monument signage requests that people understand the difference between 2WD, AWD, and 4WD. This area can be very hot in the summer and is remote. Bring extra water and a satellite communications device.
