Trail Overview

MST&T Road begins at US 95 and leads you to the site of the old MST&T radio tower. The tower is long gone, but the pad remains. The views from the top give you a 360-degree vista of the surroundings. La Paz Valley and the Chocolate Mountains stand to the West. To the South and East, you'll be looking at the Kofa Wilderness, Kofa Peak, and, to the Northeast, the New Water range. The route is a two-lane gravel road that is mostly level and any high clearance vehicle will be fine. The final 1/2 mile climbs to the old tower location and narrows down to a two-track trail with some exposed rocks.

Access Description

This road isn't marked on US 95. To find it, look for an old powerline crossing over US 95 supported by wooden poles. That old powerline follows the road all the way back to the old tower site.
