Trail Overview

Iron Springs Connector is a 1-mile 62-inch trail that connects Frog Tank Loop to the Iron Springs Trailhead and the Rocky Road trail. This trail is short and flat, but very rocky. It's full of boulders, big loose rocks, embedded rocks, and slab sections. It doesn't have any particularly challenging obstacles or climbs; it just makes for a very bumpy ride with so many rocks. This would probably be easy for a sport UTV that can cruise right over the rocks but would be very jarring for a utility side-by-side vehicle or ATV to go over so many rocks. It could also be hard for a beginner dirt biker who isn't yet comfortable standing through all the rocks. The east end of the trail is at the Iron Springs Trailhead, which is a dirt area used for staging. Full-width vehicles are prohibited on this trail.

Access Description

The Munds Park OHV system is made up of several 62-inch designated OHV trails of varying difficulties, but most are very rocky. You can access the trails from either the Iron Springs Staging Area or Munds Park Trailhead, both of which have space for trailers. All of the OHV trails prohibit full-width vehicles, so UTVs must be 62 inches or less.
