Trail Overview

FR 2620 is a single-lane old forest road that rolls through the mixed pine of the Kaibab National Forest. Well used and rough, its mud ruts have some off-camber spots that could prove challenging, especially after rain or snow. There are a few scattered large pull-through-type campsites that could accommodate large trailers toward the north end of the trail. As you move south, you'll see interesting canyon-type formations adjacent to the trail that might be interesting to explore. While you might encounter elk and other wildlife along this trail, it makes its way onto cattle grazing lands as well, so please observe signage and close gates behind you.
