Trail Overview
Dutchman Rim Single Track is a 2.6-mile-long dirt bike trail that goes up and over lots of desert hills and ridgelines. It is an advanced difficulty due to lots of steep hill climbs and descents with spots of exposure. It's a narrow trail--a true single track--that is a mix of dirt and loose rock and lined with cactus. The trail flows up and over the hills, following the ridgeline all the way south, going along the rim of a mesa for a while. The ridgeline gets you views way up high on the mesas above the badlands. It goes through lots of sections of black lava rock. Some of the harder features of this trail are some off-camber side-hilling with a bit of exposure on a narrow trail, lots of loose chunky rocks that you have to ride over, and some ledge obstacles. The trail can be faint at times, so it requires some route finding. It dead ends at a viewpoint.
