Trail Overview
This is a 1.5-mile-long single-track that heads north from a wash. It steeply climbs away from the wash into rugged desert mountains. It's a super windy trail through the mountains, with lots of narrow sections of trail. It traverses around the sides of the mountains, along ridge lines, through wash crossings, and constantly going up and down the steep hills. It gets more gradual near the north end as it drops into a wash that you can take back up to North Castle Hot Springs Road. It's constantly covered in loose dirt and loose sand, with moderate features like steep climbs, ruts, and sporadic bigger rocks, but it's a bit easier than some of the surrounding trails as it's less steep. Since this trail is on Arizona State Trust Land, it requires a recreation permit that you can obtain online.
