Trail Overview
Aultman is part of the Hayfield Draw OHV system of 50-inch trails near Camp Verde, Arizona. This trail is one of the easiest trails in the area. It's an easy and wide two-track that is almost as wide as a road at times and is smooth and flowy with very few rocks. It flows easily over the rolling desert hills in this OHV area with easy curves. It crosses several washes and ravines and dips into a rockier sand wash for a small section near the west end of the trail. The west end of the trail gets a bit rockier for a short segment before intersecting with the Sand Wash Trail, but it is all still easy. This is a great trail for a beginner rider and would make a great loop with the Sand Wash trail for a new rider.

Difficulty
The Hayfield Draw OHV area near Camp Verde, Arizona, accesses 80 acres of motorized cross-country areas and trails for dirt bikes and ATVs of 50 inches or less in the Prescott National Forest. The area is open seasonally from September 1 to May 31 since it is too hot to ride during the summer. There are about 8 ATV trails accessed from this staging area of easy to intermediate difficulty, and you can connect to the Copper Canyon OHV area by taking the Camp Verde trail 11 miles south, but the Copper Canyon trails are much more rocky and difficult. The Hayfield Draw staging area has restrooms, shaded picnic tables, and garbage service. It is day-use only and costs $5 per vehicle, except it is free on Wednesdays.
