Trail Overview

9059 is a 3-mile-long full-width trail in the Vulture Mountains near Wickenburg, Arizona. It's mostly a wide dirt road with loose rocks on the surface, ruts, and uneven ground, and mostly a slight downhill from north to south. It's easy, but you definitely need high clearance to get across big dips running across the trail, embedded surface rock, and one ramped rock ledge in a narrow section that is about a foot high. It crosses sandy washes and has ruts straight down the trail. Some sections in the wash are a bit more narrow between the bushes, which might scrape the sides of your vehicle. There are also some unmarked splits in the wash. This is a good trail for a Jeep or a high-clearance vehicle, and you'd probably be fine in a stock SUV if you have good tire placement. Overall it's just a rougher road, but you don't want to be bringing your sedan out here. The scenery is nice, as it goes through the saguaros with views of the mountains.
