Trail Overview

Prepare for take off! Runway will make you feel like you're on an airplane and steering strictly by feel because you stare at the sky all the way up; that is, until you flop in the rut. Runway has a water runoff that has created a deep rut in an off-camber situation. If you're facing uphill, the rut runs down the driver's side. There is one small gulley just at the split from Runway Bypass, but the real rut is farther uphill. Should you make it through the off-camber ruts, you now have to bump up a small rock ledge and continue up the mountain. Runway was originally designed to cut across and meet at Runway Bypass, but other lines have been formed to continue straight up the mountain should you choose to. All lines take you to the top of Morris Code or you can take a left to continue to Red Wasp Canyon.

Difficulty

The off-camber rut will swallow up a 35-inch tire, and you cannot take the high side without risking a rollover in a full-size vehicle.
