Trail Overview
High Point Hill at Northwest Alabama Mountain Park is a ridge-top trail with a well-hidden view. Access to this hill is becoming increasingly difficult, and it is located in the back corner of the park. The most direct path to the top of High Point Hill is the steep, smooth grade that takes you to the top. The smooth grade hill climb could be extremely tough in wet conditions and should not be attempted without 4WD. Once at the top, you will continue to ride the ridge top to another steep grade hill climb that is covered in river rock like pea gravel. After you make that last climb, you are now at the highest point of the ridge, which is a common place to hang out. This point offers parking for around 6-8 vehicles, but it is dangerously high with a long drop to the bottom if you back off the wrong part.

Difficulty
This trail has steep grades and erosion that affect the danger factor more than the difficulty. Should it be after a rainstorm, the climb up will be even harder on the lower section. The upper section climb is very narrow with loose soil.
