Trail Overview

Hardwood Hollow is a hidden trail cruiser's gem. This trail offers a beautiful view of the park from the top of Hardwood Hill - the highest point on this top of this trail. The route up from the mudbog and free play area is quite the scenic one, but the drop off to descend back down is a steep one. Erosion will make this trail ill-fated for those who pay no attention to this drop-off.

Difficulty

There are little to no large obstacles in the middle of the trail; however, on the downhill side of Hardwood, there are a couple of large rocks around 22 inches that can catch your axle on the way down. This presents a problem with all your weight shifted to the front of the vehicle, trying to back up hill.

Hardwood Hollow starts on the backside of the Mudbog/Free Play area and has signs everywhere for it. It ends at the Rock Wall Trail on the back side.
