Trail Overview
Baldie is a very wide and very large rock trail, but with massive boulders along the route. This trail has several areas with 3 to 5-foot-tall rock obstacles and ledges to cross. The whole trail is a steep grade upwards and has one area that is pretty tight around a rutted out area. The ruts on this trail are 4 to 5 feet deep. There are two sections of difficult rock obstacles, and then the top, where it meets with trail 404, is easy for the rest of the way. You can get to trail 404 by coming from the top of Baldie and turning onto trail 404 before you go down all of the rock obstacles of Baldie. The top of Baldie also has a beautiful view of the mountains.
