Trail Overview

Trail 302 is a one-way Level 5 trail that runs parallel to Trail 300, starting near the creek on the west end. The route features uneven, rutted terrain with loose rock, erosion, and short, steep grades. After rain, water crossings can reach up to 20 inches, with frequent mud holes and slick sections. Obstacles up to two feet, including ledges and off-camber spots, add to the challenge. A few harder lines have bypasses, but overall, the trail demands careful driving and a high-clearance 4x4.

Difficulty

Trail 302 is a one-way Level 5 trail that splits off from the west end of Trail 300 near the creek and runs parallel to it, offering a more technical alternative to the main route. The trail is narrow in places, with tight turns that require careful driving for full-size or long-wheelbase rigs. The terrain is consistently uneven, with deep ruts, loose rock, and several eroded sections that challenge traction and stability. Water is a regular feature here--standing water after rain can reach up to 24 inches deep, and muddy sections hold water even during drier spells. One of the trail's more notable challenges is a short, steep incline with loose rock near the midpoint. There are also several ledges and off-camber areas where drivers will need to pick a good line. While a few harder obstacles have bypasses, the main route still requires solid off-road skills and a high-clearance 4x4. Trail 302 also hugs the creek in several places, offering some scenic views, but those same areas are prone to slick conditions and soft ground. This trail is best suited for experienced drivers looking for a moderately technical trail that doesn't require a full build, but definitely demands respect.
