#111 Headache

Trail Overview

Trail #111 - Headache connects Trail #112 (Merlin) to Trail #88 (John's Way). When starting from Merlin, the trail begins with a series of very deep mudholes -- some reaching depths of 40 inches or more -- that can easily swallow smaller rigs and challenge even well-equipped vehicles. Once past the mud, the route transitions into a steep, rocky climb leading up to John's Way. Despite the incline, most drivers agree the mudholes are the real "headache" on this trail, especially after heavy rain or when traction is limited.
