Trail Overview
Beginning on the trail to La Lobera, turn right at the trailhead. This path presents some challenging sections even during the dry season, with rain ruts necessitating the use of four-wheel drive. As you navigate the steep and winding sections, exercise caution around rain ruts and other obstacles. Upon emerging, you'll be greeted by a stunning ocean view and an ideal camping spot closest to the shore. You may encounter people collecting pebbles and other stones for sale, along with equipment for this purpose. During our mapping, some construction was underway, though we did not inquire about the project. Heading back north, you'll descend to a beach area, pass through an open fence, and shortly thereafter, reconnect with Highway 1.
