Trail Overview
This off-the-beaten-path trail branches off from the Los Hombres Trail, venturing into a serene and lightly trafficked route. Be prepared for a narrow, sandy path with wind-blown sand, potentially requiring careful navigation to avoid scratching your vehicle. While 2WD vehicles can tackle this trail, airing down may be necessary to maintain traction. As you continue along the coast, a sharp right turn leads you downhill toward the water's edge. The descent is relatively gentle, but caution is still advised due to the narrow road. Upon arrival, the scenery unfolds to reveal a picturesque spot surrounded by mangroves, with ample space to camp and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Be mindful of the local wildlife, including coyotes that frequent the area and show little fear of humans.

Difficulty
Any 2WD vehicle with good clearance can handle this trail. However, it's a good idea to bring recovery gear and know how to air down your tires for better traction. Be careful driving through wet areas, near the estuary especially after storms or king tides, as conditions can change quickly.
