Trail Overview

Trail 19 is a 5.4-mile route that climbs and descends through a lush, scenic forest. Starting from the north end, it ascends with a series of wide, steep switchbacks with space to maneuver. The trail surface features dark, coal-like dirt with occasional embedded rock and loose stone. As the climb continues, the switchbacks become steeper and rockier, and the trail narrows in places with shelfy sections and blind corners. The south end features another set of descending switchbacks that are slightly tighter. Along the way, the trail passes several well-marked intersections, making navigation straightforward. This is a scenic, moderately easy route with good line-of-sight for most of its length.
