Trail Overview
This trail is a very entertaining ride on a rarely traveled route through the Gladwin Forest Management Unit. You will enjoy Pine and hardwood trees, as well as plenty of wildlife along the way. Just onto the trail from Pulp Road at the north end, you will find a nice clearing with a campsite complete with a fire ring. The trail is a single-lane dirt path in some areas and grassy in others. The trail gets little traffic in a section that winds through the trees; some of the turns are tight, and you will get some branches scraping your vehicle. You will encounter a stretch that is soft and muddy, with some sections over a foot deep, so you'll want a Four Wheel Drive with decent clearance. If you like mud, you'll enjoy this trail. This area could be quite difficult during the spring thaw or after heavy rain. If you're feeling adventurous, there are some spurs to explore, but be ready to get muddy. Overall, this trail was very entertaining.
