Trail Overview
The trail starts at the Pleasant Hill Public Use Area. Follow the boat ramp to the end where there's a dirt trail and go south. Follow it around until you see the trail veering to the left. You will enter the woods from there on a good trail and follow it through rolling hills, small ditch crossings, some mud holes (there's paths around those) and follow the trail on this map until the end which is a small parking area with a public paved road to finish the trail. It's a nice slow trail that has beautiful scenery a nice peaceful atmosphere. There's an old pre Civil War cemetery, an abandoned old truck, and an old abandoned horse trailer to check out also. There's one steep hill climb but its not very tall so its very manageable. This is one of the better trail heads at Arkabutla Lake.
