Trail Overview
A classic Up-Island British Columbia loop, this trail winds through moss-draped forest and rugged, rocky terrain characteristic of the Pacific Northwest's temperate rainforest. Towering evergreens rise from a thick carpet of emerald moss that blankets the forest floor and climbs tree trunks, softening the landscape with that unmistakable coastal glow. The route follows gently rolling ground with the occasional steeper ridge to keep things interesting, offering subtle elevation changes without sustained climbs. At approximately 600 feet above sea level, the trail typically stays below the snow line, making it accessible for most of the year.

Difficulty
While several obstacles offer bypass options, this trail is built for well-equipped rigs. A minimum of 35-inch tires is advised, along with front and rear lockers to manage the technical sections. A winch is strongly recommended, as traction can vary and recovery points may be limited. Proper setup and recovery gear will make the difference between a challenging adventure and a long day on the line.
